The old PC98 game is given a complete overhaul in this two disc release. Using scanned animation cells, full voice acting from the original cast, digitised sound effecrs and full screen images/animation this is a very different experience to the original.

The presentation is much improved opening with the actual OAV credits sequence and a nice new title screen. There is also a redesigned map screen where you move your SD Tenchi between the rooms of the house replacing the point-and-click interface.

There are a whole bunch of new options here too that allow you to view all the unlocked images, text and audio as well as keep track of how much of the game you have uncovered.

As I mentioned at the start there is a second CD provided with the PC-FX version. This contains a whole new story exclusive to this release. The story continues after the previous game and plays a little differently with the player in control of a different character per chapter and events play out in a more set sequence with you simply choosing your responses but not the locations. As with 'Game A' you have the option to replay all unlocked content from the title screen.

There are around 8 different endings available so it'll keep Tenchi Fans busy for a while trying to discover all the plot branches, endings and unlockable content.
