A shoot-em-up similar, but superior to, the MSX game.

Very simple game split into two halves. The first half takes place in space with your transformable fighter attacking various Zentredi enemies. If you can fend them off long enough a Zentredi mothership warps in behind you. After flying alongside it for a short while you enter the second half. This takes place inside the mothership. It's the same as before except you have just thirty seconds to reach the reactor and destroy it (by shooting out two rows of small balls from it's centre). With your mission accomplished your score is tallied up and you do it all over again, in an unending loop.

This is a very dated game. It's more sophisticated than it's MSX predessor but it's still very basic. You have the ability to transform into the three different Valkyrie modes, each with their own strengths and weaknesses but it is still the same old "shoot the bad guys, avoid the bullets" gameplay and it is pretty tough too!

As with the gameplay the graphics while well detailed are very basic. There is one audio track, the famous Minmei song, that repeats over and over and gets quite annoying. To sum up, not a bad game but it's a shame it never ends!
