Dragonball Z

Super Butoden
"Dragonball Z" (France)

Another historic entry; the very first Dragonball Z beat-em-up!

The game is very simple. You start out as Goku fighting Picalo. If you beat him you go through the story to the next opponent, with the choice of fighting as Goku or Picalo. And so it goes on.

The graphics are less impressive than the later instalments. The sprites are a bit short and the music is slightly Street Fighter-esque.

Its not brilliant but not all that bad either. Worth a look to see where all the DBZ fighting games started from.
