"Golgo 13: Top Secret Episode"

An interesting and strangely addictive game based on Takao Saito's
Bond-esque hitman.

The game manages to include most of the things you'd expect from Golgo 13 (even his powers of seduction which, if pulled off, will fully refresh your energy levels in the nearest hotel room!). Gameplay wise it is mainly a scrolling beat-em-up, with enemies being dispatched with a well place flying kick or the use of a gun. But, when appropriate, it changes genre altogether. Like for instance, the shooting scenes.

You'll be walking along when suddenly a hand pops up in the front of the screen pointing a gun at you. The view then switches to a first person, cross hairs affair during which time you will have to find and then pick off enemies 'Operation Wolf' style.

There are many other factors that make this game enjoyable. Doom-style 3D hunting bits, the side-on shooting bits, the snipering-a-bloke-in-the-head-from-a-helicopter bit. There are far too many to mention.
